Hello loyal followers..er...readers. Thank you for frequenting my blog and gladdening me with your presents. Um, presence i mean. Although I'll take presents too. So today I got to eat real Ugandan. You see, the Paps decided to have a New Year's Dinner for their staff. So both house girls (Francis and Pheona)along with all Francis' children, Pheona's mother, and Chris the night guard. So Francis prepared the meal. It consisted of matooke, chicken, cabbage (more like cole slaw), chicken, and pumpkin. Yes, pumpkin. I tried one bite and decided that I still strictly belief that pumpkins, along with all guards, were created for ornamental purposes only. Do not eat the pumpkins no matter what your mother tells you during Thanksgiving dinner. That pie is only for decoration, it is not edible. Some of you might be wondering what matooke is. Well, my plan to distract you with the pumpkin part didn't work because the people who are loyal members of this blog are too smart for such shinanigans. Ok, truth be told, I don't really know what it all involves. There is banana in it and I think sweet potatoes, although it might be dirt for all I know. It was a very good meal and I left quite satisfied. Well, I'm going to put some pictures on the blog of the Pap kids and some of my friends from yesterday's post.
God Bless.
