Busy busy.
If there is one word to describe my Wednesdays and Fridays, that word would be BUSY. Let me descibe a typical day. I get to the bible college at 10 or 10:30 AM. Not so bad, you're thinking. Well, I have the fellowship class at noon so for the hour and a half or two hours before I do various small jobs that need to be done. Some of the jobs aren't so small. Like today, I am organizing the library. The college has only a few hundred books but they are just beginning to really organize them all into catagories. The students like taking books off the shelves and then replacing them wherever they feel like, so the library is a mess. Other jobs include organizing the bookstore/t-shirt store. It consists of one medium sized cabinet, so that job wasn't too bad. Then at noon I have the fellowhip class, which lasts for one hour. DUring this time Jill, the instructor, teaches about some principle of CHristian life. Today we discussed mediation and what it involves. After class I am free until 3PM so once again I am involved in small jobs around the bible college. At 3 I go with Peter to the remand centre, which is a home for juvenile delinquints. We stay there for an hour or an hour and half, interacting with the kids and giving a short devotional. We get back to church at 5pm, just in time to go to Wednesday night service or Friday night prophesy class. My day is finished at 8 or 8:30pm, after which I still need to make myself some supper. Thanks for your noodles, mom. They are a life saver. All in all, I really enjoy my busy days.

Hello everyone,

I hope this update finds you all well. I'm doing great here, although I'm a bit sore. You see, the pastor that lives upstairs and my roommate (Nathan) work out 3x a week. I decided to join them in hopes that I get at least some exercise while I'm here. Well, I think I got more than I bargained for. I am so sore today from yesterday's chest and back work-out. I did some bench press and I am ashamed to say that I am sore from those little weights on the end of that bar. Oh well. I did start my work today. I went to the Bible College and helped clean up some things that were in need of a good cleaning. I also mingled with the students and talked to them. Tomorrow I really start. I have to go to the Koinonia class (which means "Fellowship" and they talk about practical Christian principles) and then go and find out what the Remand Centre is all about. It's one of the ministries that the church has and it is for juvenile delinquints (sp). Well, somebody kindly requested I put a photo of Immaculate on here. By kindly I mean that his comment said "Put a picture of that girl on here already." So here it is. She is beautiful.

Hello and greetings.
Good morning to all of you. Right now it is 9am on Thursday morning. I am waiting for Immaculate to come over so right now I will update you a little on my work here in Uganda. Yesterday I had a meeting with Pastors Brian and Josh. They asked me to help out in one class, help the Bible College students with things like using the internet and such, help out in the remand ministry (I'm not sure what that is but I'm finding out more tomorrow) as well as to step in and take control of the street kids ministry. Please pray for me. Right now this seems like a huge undertaking. However, with Christ's strength I can do all things.

Yesterday the church service really encouraged me. Pastor Brian preached from 2 Kings 1 and 2 about Elijah. The first part was about King Ahaziah seeking out Baalzebub instead of asking God for help. The main application was where do I go for help? Isn't there a God in Israel to turn to? The second story was about Elijah going up in a whirlwind to heaven and Elisha receiving a double portion of his spirit. THe main application was that instead of us leaning on certain people who have a great ministry in the church we should lean on their God. Soon that person will not be doing his service and it will be up to us to step in. We need God's help for that, not a person's. When Elisha took Elijah's mantle and struck the water, he didn't say "Where is the power of Elijah?" Instead, he said "Where is the LORD GOd of Elijah?" That is what our focus should be.

I hope you all have a great week. God bless

Greetings

Hello everyone. I hope you are all doing well. I am. I'm just a little tired...still getting over jetleg. Tomorrow I have a meeting with the pastors of Calvary Chapel in order to go over exactly what I'll be doing. I'm looking forward to working, that's for sure. Church on Sunday was so nice. I'm looking forward to Wednesday night just so that I can go back to church. It was great seeing all my friends again. Anyways, it's time for me to get some sleep. I have to wake up early tomorrow. Have a good day.

Hello once again everyone.
It's time once again to begin my blog. It has been a few months since I've done this. I am once again in Uganda. The fly over here was just great. I slept for about 1 hour on the flight from Toronto to London. Good thing I had a 12 hour layover in London though. I found the multi-faith prayer room and crashed. It was nice and quiet in there, with all the people praying and all. I wanted to see the city but it would have costed over $100 on transportation alone and that is simply foolish. My flight to Entebbe was great. I was asleep even before the meal was served and I woke up about an hour left in the flight. Getting through customs was such a breeze. I joined the residents line since I have a re-entry visa already. The customs official didn't ask any questions or anything. He just took out his big ole stamp and then handed back my passport. I think I was the first one out of the airport, much to the relief of a certain young lady who was waiting for me. She is now officially my fiancee, which is a very happy thought to me. Anyways, that's my update so far. I hope you enjoy your day.
God bless
