Hello and greetings.
Good morning to all of you. Right now it is 9am on Thursday morning. I am waiting for Immaculate to come over so right now I will update you a little on my work here in Uganda. Yesterday I had a meeting with Pastors Brian and Josh. They asked me to help out in one class, help the Bible College students with things like using the internet and such, help out in the remand ministry (I'm not sure what that is but I'm finding out more tomorrow) as well as to step in and take control of the street kids ministry. Please pray for me. Right now this seems like a huge undertaking. However, with Christ's strength I can do all things.

Yesterday the church service really encouraged me. Pastor Brian preached from 2 Kings 1 and 2 about Elijah. The first part was about King Ahaziah seeking out Baalzebub instead of asking God for help. The main application was where do I go for help? Isn't there a God in Israel to turn to? The second story was about Elijah going up in a whirlwind to heaven and Elisha receiving a double portion of his spirit. THe main application was that instead of us leaning on certain people who have a great ministry in the church we should lean on their God. Soon that person will not be doing his service and it will be up to us to step in. We need God's help for that, not a person's. When Elisha took Elijah's mantle and struck the water, he didn't say "Where is the power of Elijah?" Instead, he said "Where is the LORD GOd of Elijah?" That is what our focus should be.

I hope you all have a great week. God bless
