Happy Thursday

Greetings and Salutations. Hi from sunny Kampala. Actually, it's the rainy season again. That means that once or twice a day we get a thunderstorm. Last night we had a bad one. I was at the church attending the midweek service. Everything was going great...until the pastor wanted to start preaching. That's when the storm hit. I have never seen such an amount of water streaming down from the sky before. It was actually coming in the closed window. Ok, that isn't so hard to imagine. Any framer out there could tell you that the builders failed the tar paper test. The windows obviously were not sealed correctly. The power went off and everything. Well, Pastor Brian wasn't going to let a little thing like lack of power stop him from preaching about David and Bathsheba. I mean, the power is off half the time anyways, so he's had lots of practice talking with a raised voice. It was a great sermon too. Anyways, to make a long story short, we didn't get power until about 3 in the morning. I know, cause I woke up from a light suddenly blinding me while I was trying to sleep. The hallway light came on. It's hard to remember to turn off all the light when the power has been off for about 30 hours. Well, have yourselves a great day.
God Bless.

P.S. I just was looking at cbc.ca for the news and read a story that a church here in Kampala collapsed in last night's rainstorm. If you would like to read it yourself, here's the address: http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/national/2006/03/09/20060309-churchcollapse.html
