Hello everyone,
Sorry for not updating sooning. Anyways, things here in Uganda are going great. I really enjoy visiting the Remand Centre on Wednesdays and Fridays. It's mostly boys that are in the home, although there are a few girls. Peter, a guy from church, does most of the talking...in Luganda. So it's pretty difficult to be able to understand exactly what's going on. He finds who is new to the home and gets their contact information. Later he phones the kids relatives so that they know where their child is. One child had ran away from home and his parents thought he had died. Needless to say, they were a bit overjoyed to find that their son was alive. We also give a short Bible study for about 20 minutes. I get to lead it and it's a little different having to be translated after every sentance. So far I have managed not to lose my train of thought. Right now we are going through the gosple of John.

Last week, after I was finished, I had some kids come up to me. They wanted to know how to defend their faith. Some Muslims had talked to them and told them that based on 1 Corinthians 15:15, Christ didn't rise from the dead. Also, they wanted to know why, since Jesus was circumcised, Christians aren't. So I helped them by explaining 1 Corinthians 15:15 in its context. Also, I went through Galatians with them, showing how the Galation believers were wondering the same thing and what Paul told them. It was a great experience. Back in North America I never had any Muslims trying to talk to me about Christianity. It's a whole new experience. Anyways, I should get going. I have to prepare a Bible study for a secondary school today. Thanks for all your prayers. Feel free to email me at: mejneels@yahoo.ca
God bless
